2007 Arlington High School Spy Ponders LACROSSE ALUMNI GAME NIGHT
The Cameron G. O’Connor Foundation hosted the Arlington Spy Ponders Lacrosse Alumni Game, which was played on Thursday evening, June 21st. With their sticks, helmet and pads in place, the 30 plus kids took their turn on the turf. Proud parents of the 2007 GBL Varsity team and many friends of the players lined the fence watching the games. It almost had a “Thanksgiving reunion” feel to the evening, with many students, seeing one another for the first time since returning home from school. Dave Johnson, Arlington’s Athletic Director joined the spectators watching the past meet and greet the new players. “Last night was a beautiful evening in tribute to the life of Cameron. Pierce turf field was turned into a reunion of friendships and lifelong bonds that was an emotional event to watch. I was moved to see the number of past and present students of AHS who came back to be a part of Cameron’s night. My heart went out to the O’Connor family as we all celebrated a life lived.” Thank You Dave Johnson and Nancy Brennan – you allowed us to make this happen Our alumni: Dan Buckley, Jon Copithorne, Eric Cronin, Jackson Fallon, Brendan Flynn, Ian Mayer, Brian McClosky, Brian McKenna, Matt Moura, Rob Powers, Eric Preston, Eric Pugliese, Alex Ranere, Tim Readon, Shawn Rosie, Craig VanKeuren, Brian White, Jimmy Wilson, Jeff Noonan, Blake Sama, and our 2007 GBL Varsity Players: Mike Baker, Mike Burke, Mike Carroll, Dave Correll, Pat Cronin, Mike Curran, Dan Downing, Brian Flynn, Kevin Hurley, John Landsvik, Tommy Moskaluk, and Ryan Murphy. Concession stand team: Megan Keeffe, Samantha White, Eileen Johnson, Vicki Good, and Loretta Moskaluk. Jeff Fallon for sharing his photographs. Everyone graciously donated his or her time. To all of our spectators – hope you enjoyed Game Night.
Last but not least, to Scott Eiseman – the 2006 Coach of the Year – 2006 & 2007 GBL Champions. Scott is the heart and soul of the game of Lacrosse. The evening started out with blue skies with ominous clouds slowly making their way over the field. Around 9 o’clock the skies opened up and rained out the rest of the evening. Wondering if any of the alumni welcomed the thunder and lightening?!!?? We hope to see you next year at our Alumni Game Night.
