College Scholarships
With great pride, the Foundation has awarded scholarships in excess of $25,000.00 to seven deserving college-bound Arlington students. These conscientious students, from Arlington High School and Arlington Catholic High School, demonstrated positive leadership qualities and sound moral character. Through this award, the Foundation Recognizes the positive "rippling effects" of the students' contribution within their community and beyond.

"Cam's Shelf"
The Foundation established "Cam's Shelf", a small lending library housed in the Reading Centers at the Hardy, Dallin and Stratton elementary schools. This lending library provides students access to reading materials selected by teachers familiar with their particular abilities and unique interests. As a result, the reading experience becomes less intimidating and move pleasurable for the young reader. The Foundation intends to expand this program until a "Cam's Shelf" is in every Arlington elementary school.

| 2007 Summer Literacy Camp |

Summer Literacy Camp In 2007 and 2008, the Foundation awarded full scholarship to ten Arlington elementary school students giving them the opportunity to attend the Summer Literacy Camp held at the Dallin School. This camp provided insturction to struggling readers in preparation for the upcoming school year.

Summer of 2008 - Outward Bound Program
In June of 2008 the Cameron G. O’Connor Foundation announced they will begin awarding a full campership for the Outward Bound program, Passages, for 12 – 13 year old boys. This is a course that helps boys develop compassion and confidence while learning to work collaboratively to solve problems by working together as a team. The Executive Director Dan Brosnan and staff member Derek Curran of the Arlington Boys and Girls Club select a deserving member of the club as the recipient of this award.
